Hala spent the early part of her career working in sustainable architecture and design and teaching green-building technologies and environmental awareness. She is passionate about exploring ways innovation and technology can address complex challenges. Hala earned a Master of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University, and after many years of working in her field, has developed an interest in the exciting, fast-paced world of software engineering. Hala found many similarities between the creative processes of architects and software engineers, especially the need to understand space and component functionality, human behavior, and design flow. She is excited to embark on a journey to learn a new skillset and use architectural creativity in a new medium. In her spare time, Hala loves to explore Seattle and the Northwest outdoors with her husband and two boys.
